Long time no see.
I actually mean: long time no write.

NEW OLD LANGUAGE

My friend can speak and write a language called Elfish. Elfish, you probably think, is that a real language? I assure you, it is in Lord of the Rings. For me it is a new cool language to learn, in Lord of the Rings it is a very old and important language, used by the Elves.

My friend wrote my name down in Elfish. Let me explain the symbols:
The first symbol looks like a graceful T with a curl above. All right, it looks like a graceful E. The graceful T is an L, the curl above is a O. The next symbol looks like a P with a line underneath: it’s a double T. Beneath the horizontal line you see a spot, that’s an E.
We now have my first name: Lotte

Now comes my last name: de Boer (in English it means the Farmer, but that doesn’t matter for now). See that M-like symbol? It’s a D. The /-like thing is actually wrong, it should be a spot under the D that means a short E.

The M with the horizontal line is a B, the curl above is an O. The Í-like thing is an E. Now you should think: huh, a spot below should be an E! That’s true, but there already is a curl above the M-like symbol, so the E can’t be below it anymore. The N-like thing is a R.

So, I learnt you the Elfish T, short E, double T, O, D, B and R, and the exception when there is already a symbol above or under another symbol. Great. For more symbols: go surfing on the internet :p
