Monday

Yeah. I've been ill for a while, so I couldn't go to school, but today I went to see my friends again and enjoy the madness around there, and I'm glad I did that. I'm quite tired now, but I've got to learn tomorrows tests, so I can't sleep or rest. That rhymes! Great.

"I've got to learn tomorrows tests,
so I can't take any sleep or rest..."

Allright, it doesn't rhyme. Never mind. Tomorrow evening, I'm walking with kids grom my class through the forest for a hour or more, eat some pancakes in a restourant and walk back home. I absolutely like that =D!!!

So, I'm happy XD! Tired and a bit dissapointed about myself today, but happy. Yeah.

Tuesday

Let the winter come!

Yeah, I love winter. Lots of snow, ice-skating, hot chocolate, christmas and New Years eve, reading a book at the couch in the evening, gloves, a scarf and a warm hat… Getting cold because of all the snow but warm because of all the friends that are pushing you into it… Great XD!

Sunday again

MAKE-OVER

This blog has had a (small) make-over! Blue changed to red, but the background is still the same... Maybe I can draw a background once. It was my birthday yesterday, and a friend got me some aquarelle pencils. I’ll paint something if I’m bored. You’ll see.

Sunday

Long time no see.
I actually mean: long time no write.

NEW OLD LANGUAGE

My friend can speak and write a language called Elfish. Elfish, you probably think, is that a real language? I assure you, it is in Lord of the Rings. For me it is a new cool language to learn, in Lord of the Rings it is a very old and important language, used by the Elves.

My friend wrote my name down in Elfish. Let me explain the symbols:
The first symbol looks like a graceful T with a curl above. All right, it looks like a graceful E. The graceful T is an L, the curl above is a O. The next symbol looks like a P with a line underneath: it’s a double T. Beneath the horizontal line you see a spot, that’s an E.
We now have my first name: Lotte

Now comes my last name: de Boer (in English it means the Farmer, but that doesn’t matter for now). See that M-like symbol? It’s a D. The /-like thing is actually wrong, it should be a spot under the D that means a short E.

The M with the horizontal line is a B, the curl above is an O. The Í-like thing is an E. Now you should think: huh, a spot below should be an E! That’s true, but there already is a curl above the M-like symbol, so the E can’t be below it anymore. The N-like thing is a R.

So, I learnt you the Elfish T, short E, double T, O, D, B and R, and the exception when there is already a symbol above or under another symbol. Great. For more symbols: go surfing on the internet :p

Monday

  1. Cause you are the most special person on earth
  2. Cause I love you the way you are
  3. Cause I should have told you so days ago

Thursday

SLEEPING

I'm to tired to write today. I'm sorry. No, I'm not out of inspiration. Actually, I've got a lot of inspiration, but just not enough power in my mind to get it out of my fingers and on the screen. So, I'm going to do my homework and after that, I'm going to sleep for a very long time. Need it.

Wednesday

HAYE

WARNING: never ask your friends for subjects to write about for your blog.

About my friends’ ego
He is cool, funny and modest. Actually he has all the good properties.
About my friends’ alter-ego
He is addicted to drugs, he can fly and float, he is locked in a bathroom somewhere.

Do you’ve got a (alter-)ego? Take a toothbrush, some paint and some paper, dip the toothbrush into the paint and swing around with it. You’ve got 0,001% chance to hit the paper and 99,009% to hit some other things around you. Place your little brother between you and the couch so it won’t get dirty. When you’re finished, try to discover two human-like figures in your creation (no, not your little brother). Founded? Done, you’ve got an ego and an alter-ego.

I’m not approachable for any injuries or accidents.

Tuesday

STRANGE QUESTIONS

If you want to know how somebody is like, you could ask him or her the following questions:
1) What are you hobbies?
2) What is your favourite colour?
3) What is your favourite animal?
4) Do you have any siblings?

The answers will probably be something like ‘reading’, ‘red’ ‘dog’ and ‘no’. Not really enough words for a real conversation! So next time you meet someone, ask him or her the following questions:
1) Do you believe in god? Why?
2) How do you think the earth was created?
3) When did you cry for the last time, and why?
4) What or who makes you smile?
5) What is your view on war?
6) Why is red (not) your favourite colour?
7) Why are elephants grey?

Now you’ve got a real conversation. You can expect answers like: ‘Not really, there probably is something out there, but it’s not like the god they talk about in churches. He didn’t create earth and everything around us in six days, I don’t believe that, it’s nonsense. But maybe there is some kind of power watching over us. Who knows. So, the earth is not created the way the bible sais it is. It was just a big bang thing and slam, life was created. I dunno. Last time I cried was last week, cause my best friend moved from this city to a faraway village. I’m gonna miss her… My friends really make me smile! We are always making jokes, but when something gets really important to one of us, we can also be very quiet and understanding. War is needful, sometimes, but it is a bad thing. So many people get killed. Red is not my favourite colour cause purple is much more beautiful! And elephants are grey because if they were brown, you can’t find them in your chocolate pudding.'

See? A lot more words than the first ones, even if you only count the first four of each cause there are only four questions in the first one. And the second one is more fun. So: try it :p!

Monday

Why the heck are human sometimes so DIFFICULT?
Or is it just me?

Sunday

HAYE

You'll probably think: oh god, she didn't write something on her blog since Tuesday, did something bad happen? I can assure you: something was happening, but it wasn’t bad at all. I have been organizing a Halloween party, and I was so busy with that, that I couldn’t find the time to write something for you.
The party was amazing, alltrough it was a Halloweenparty after Halloween. There were like 30 people, most of them from my school, some of them were family or friends from faraway villages. We danced (also limbo), ate sandwiches with fingers, drunk juices with strange colours, six people ate cows eyes and four people performed. We also did a game: everyone bound a balloon to his ankle and tried to kick each other’s balloon. It was extremely funny.

Today I’d like to tell you about little tings I like to do. Some people love the smell of roses, other people love sitting in a big chair with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book when it’s snowing outside...

Things I like:

Walking behind someone really quiet, watching him while he doesn’t know I’m there...

Having secrets, knowing more than other people...

Walking through the rain, so no one can see the tears in my eyes...

Watching the moon, knowing that nothing is more beautiful.

Tuesday

BREAKING NEWS

An old man lost his dentures when he was sleepwalking in the sewer. A teenager jumps off a bridge into the lake. A little girl bit off her brothers hand out of frustration. But first in today’s news: a 35 years old man stole lollipop from a toddler.
The police has no idea what’s going on in the centre of New York city, where this all happened. The man and the lollipop were gone in a second. The mother of the baby is concerned: "he just won't stop crying, he's crying the whole day..."

But we know what's going on... People get mad… People freak out…

IT'S SPAM!
(No, I don’t mean those little fishes in cans.)

Monday

Change the past

Ever made a big mistake in your life, ever wanted to change the past? I do. More than once. But I learned to accept that things are how they are, and if you want to change it, try to!

Enough deep things today.
I'm throwing a halloweenparty this friday, reeeaaally cool ^^. I go zombiestyle. I think. Maybe. I can make a picture if I got something really cool, but first I have to make up the room, take care for the drinks and food and that kind of things... It's a lot of work, but I love it!
And yeah, I know it has been Halloween already, but that was at Sunday and you can't throw a party if you have to go to school the next day.

I have to make some homework... Bye!

Saturday

Writing

I really love to write stories! Most of my stories ares are about love, friendschip, courage and the most important ingredient: magic. Magic doesn't have to be childish or unreal: there's some kind of daily magic. Have you ever been looking around to your friends, just watching them, suddenly realizing that you really love them? Have you ever cuddled your mother and felt really warm? That's daily magic.

I don't write my stories in English, that's way to difficult for me, but for the Dutch readers I've got a fragment of one of my stories. It's about Jone, a girl who is not really human anymore. Enjoy.

‘Doei!
Mats is weg.’
‘Mats is bijna één.
Face it!’

I don't feel anything for the subject homework at the moment, so I made a playlist for you guys! I just throwed every song in that I ever listened and kind of liked. The second one is really cool, the 4th one has a reaaaaly bad quality, the 6th makes me dance, the 10th is beautiful, the 12th is amazing, the 18th is super sweet, you'll never forget the 21st, you should know the 26th from a long time ago, 28 rocks, the 33rd is one of my favourites, I cry if I hear 41, 55 is unforgettable, you know 61 if you watched lots of Disney-films.

Just watch it!
I'm gonna make a better one, getting out the songs with a bad quality. Wish me luck...

 More pictures

The photo above is made in Austria. The buildings, that can collapse every moment, are memories to the World War. Italy and Austria were big enemies at that time… It is a weird experience to walk around over there, especially when you see Italian and Austrian children playing a game together.

The man who caught a devil was wandering around Elfië at the EFF 2009. I really had to make a photo, but it was difficult because there were constantly people walking between me and the man, and he was walking quite fast trough the crowd. I also had to stay close to my friends, which was not easy in any case, and unfeasible when you want to take such a photo. But I made it, kind of...

This is a chocolate snowman from a Christmas calendar, really heavy overexposed. When it’s Christmas, I’ll place it next to the text Carpe Diem at the top of this page.

Tourists in Holland have to know this palace: Palace Soestdijk, quite close to my house. There are no princesses or princes living there anymore, so they made it up to a museum. You can visit the garden whenever it’s opened, but if you want to see the palace from the inside you should buy tickets on the internet.

Making funny pictures with friends, you probably know it...
Wow, our feet are on the internet!

Well, that's everything for today. Next time something about homework and maybe about music.

Wednesday

MORE PICTURES

Tuesday I showed some pictures (all right, some of them weren't pictures at all). You probably didn't really like them, becouse there's no memory bound to it. Pictures made by yourself are memories, so never throw them away, even if you really hate the person that's smiling into the camera. The next pictures are totaly made by me (except the one at the beach, wich is actually made by my uncle). I hope you'll like these ones more that the previous ones.

Family at the beach

Full Moon above the faraway city

Sweet Wiske

WF, how do you turn those pictures??? Not fair!

I'm listening this song for the fourth time now..

So, that was everything for today. Next time new pictures!

Tuesday

First schoolday... Lessons were boring, but I kind of like the new school building and it was great to see my friends again.

Allright, lets talk about something more interesting than my day.

Pictures.
Not made by me, just a couple of pictures I like...

Sad and beautiful

Cupcakes!

Magical...

Colors, children, birds, a rainbow, a tree and the moon: a quite cool combination, don't you think?

Next time some pictures made by me. Byyyeee!

Monday

The short one-week-holliday is over, but I didn't have to go to school today...

I have to say goodbye to a good friend in a couple of weeks. I'm gonna mis her...

I hate this.

Sunday

Haye,

I've no idea what I'm gonna tell you today. All right, lets talk about... uuhhhm… Music.
I have to confess haven't found my own music style yet. I like almost every song, but I can give you some songs I reaaaaally like.

Disney songs are always beautiful: I just can’t wait to be king (Lion King), I won’t say I’m in love (Hercules) and a whole new world (Aladdin). Actually every song of the Lion King and Tarzan are awesome! Somebody made a top 30, watch it please!

Other random songs:
..and the most awesome one:

BTW: you reeeaaalllyyy have to see this special ice-tooth-thing. It rocks. It really does.

Friday

Hi everyone,

I'm Lotte, a 15 years old girl. I started this blog just because I was bored, so it's probably not going to be very special.
Carpe diem was the favorite proverb of my uncle, but he died a couple of months ago. Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero means something like: enjoy every day, and forget the past. If you smile all day, you've got something to live for.

Forgetting the past is not always a good solution, so don't get yourself a lifestyle like that.
